Down a winding gravel road, through generations-old apple orchards – each telling their stories of boom, bust, and re-birth – lays the small family farm where we produce Duxbury Cider. Working in small batches, each of our hand-produced ciders is a culmination of more than a decade of craftsmanship and ingenuity.
HERITAGE 1650

Heritage 1650 honours the first North American cider by including many of the very apple varieties passed down from that inaugural batch, crafted in New England more than 365 years ago.

TASTING NOTES

This truly dry cider is a tart champagne-style cider that is reminiscent of the Norman ciders with its higher acidity and tannic character. Maintaining an intense green apple fruit flavour, it is crisp and clean. This cider pairs well with smoked fare such as, lamb, pork, and BBQ meats or try it with more intense cheeses such as blues, smoked or aged unpasteurized cow’s milk cheeses.

APPRECIATE THE PAST, ENJOY THE PRESENT.

TILTED BARN

This dry hopped cider represents the quintesential essence of Meaford’s terroir. Consisting of the same apple blend that makes our 1650 Heritage Dry Cider, Tilted Barn has been dry hopped exclusively with hops from the Big Head Organic Hop Farm at the headwaters of the Big Head River in Meaford.

TASTING NOTES

Drier than the 1650 Heritage, the blend of hops used imparts a delightful aromatic sweetness reminisent of rose water with hints of earthiness. This super clean refreshing cider pairs well with roast poultry, rabbit, and cheeses. Try it with traditional Italian pizza with rapini, mushrooms, and basil.

THIS ONE IS A BIT TILTED!
